Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, actor and leading man of "House of Gucci" Adam Driver revealed all the details behind his role as Maurizio Gucci and the luxury label magnate's relationship with his wife Patrizia Reggiani, played by Lady Gaga. "[Patrizia] very much uses sex as a tool, and I feel like it kind of physically embodies what's going on between them," Driver began. "He comes from this not necessarily emotionally vapid, but [his life is] not as passionate, and that's what she brought."
While Driver and Gaga could potentially land Oscar nominations for the film, the actor admitted he and the singer "were feeling it" when it came to the movie's sex scene. "We blocked it out as we would any fight or any scene, then we just kind of ran it maybe once or twice, and that was it!" Driver said. "We were feeling it, so to speak! Everything I say sounds like a double entendre, but, we winged it!"
The "Marriage Story" actor went on to tell the outlet his relationship with Gaga "felt very comfortable" after a month of shooting "to where [they] needed to go" when it came to romance.
