Emily Ratajkowski has hit out at the NFL a few days after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The duel was postponed as Hamlin was taken to the hospital in critical condition after making a routine tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.
"Sorry but....f--k the NFL," a furious Ratajkowski wrote on Twitter.
It is still uncertain whether the famous model lashed out at the NFL due to the aforementioned incident but this is what the timing of the post suggests. Meanwhile, the Bills released a statement on Thursday to inform fans about Hamlin's state of health.
"Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours," the statement read.
"While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress. We are grateful for the love and support we have received."
The game won't be resumed
Following the incident, the NFL announced that the game between Buffalo and Cincinnati will not be resumed.
"As we considered the football schedule, our principles have been to limit disruption across the league and minimize competitive inequities," Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
"I recognize that there is no perfect solution. The proposal we are asking the ownership to consider, however, addresses the most significant potential equitable issues."
"This has been a very difficult week. We continue to focus on the recovery of Damar Hamlin and are encouraged by the improvements in his condition as well as the tremendous outpouring of support and care for Damar and his family from across the country."
