Drake Has A New Collaboration With Nike Coming Out Amid Upcoming Album Release Certified Lover Boy

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Drake is getting ready for the release of his new record, “Certified Lover Boy,” in January, and fans couldn’t be happier – at least from what can be seen on social media thus far. The Canadian rapper has been a massive draw in the industry and whenever a new project comes out, the Toronto artist finds himself at the top of the charts.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the rapper has already come out to say that he expects a lot of people not to like it. Regardless, Drake has other projects in the works as well, including a new collaboration with the footwear and athletics company, Nike.

On his Instagram page this past evening, Drake posted a new Nike teaser saying how his new product with the company would come out on the 18th of December.

The publication claims that this past month, Drake already unveiled some new Nike merch related to his album, so it’s looking like the product launch will have something to do with “Certified Lover Boy.”

Of course, Drake has been in the headlines for other reasons over the last few weeks but not always for good reasons. The rapper found himself the target of a “#RIP” trend on social media where users began speculating that he had passed away.

Apparently, it all started with an inside joke between some users on the internet. However, it quickly went out of control and spread to the far corners of the web. This wouldn’t be the first time an artist found themselves at the center of such a trend.

It also happened to Lil’ Uzi Vert this month when people began spamming Trippie Redd’s Instagram Livestream with “#RIPUziVert.” Trippie wasn’t having it all, however, because he put many of them on blast almost immediately.

Redd told them to get off of his Livestream because Uzi Vert wasn’t dead. As most know, it’s been a tough year for hip-hop, including the loss of Trippie Redd’s friend and collaborator, Juice WRLD, who died in late 2019 from a reported drug overdose.
