The winners of last year’s series of The Block have demanded an apology from viewers of the show.
Omar Slaimankhel and Ozman ‘Oz’ Abu Malik sparked controversy when they became the winners after their millionaire friend Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli got into a bidding war with another bidder, Danny Wallis.
Some at the time suggested that Omar and Oz’s friend wasn’t a legitimate bidder and was just driving up the price.
However, this year, the bidder returned to spend a massive $5 million on Steph and Gian’s house during this year’s auction.
In a new social media video, the winning duo have asked viewers to apologise for claiming their friend was never a legitimate bidder.
“I want a public apology from everyone that said Oz and I rigged that auction last year and we had a dummy bidder. That ‘dummy’ spent close to $15m on the Block this season, So it is, what it is, I’ll be waiting,” he said.
Oz added: “Just wanted to congratulate Steph and Gian for taking out the win, absolutely the best house on The Block. I couldn’t agree more with Omar – a public apology on everybody who thought Omar and I rigged the auctions last year.”
He continued: “Guys we knew who we networked with, we knew who we invited to our house, and we invited to bid on ours and this year our boy proved everybody wrong.”
In fact, the pair’s friend spent the most out of all bidders this year, shelling out a huge $12,400,000 on The Block’s auction last Sunday.

Last year, Omar and Oz were crowned the winners of The Block: Tree Change with a record breaking profit at the time.
However, they were beaten this year by winners Steph and Gian.
Congratulating the pair, Omar added: “What a crazy ride, you guys deserved it, you had the best house on the Block by far. Also congratulations to my boy Adrian [Portelli], keep doing your thing Bro, keep making them talk.”
